We publish a small story from one of the few respected diplomats who are so much dedicated to the outdoor culture in Macedonia and its greatest ambassador and supporter of the outdoor community besides the ambassador of his country.

I would say it was epic trip. Saturday evening we hiked from Papradiste (1000 asl) to Mountain Hut Ceples (1400 asl) carrying all skitour equipment on our backs. Have met there our good friends from #velesbiking Zoran Janevski and Nikola Angelov.
Early in the morning at 6:30 am we started ascend to Solunska Glava (2520 asl), we got enough snow for skitour at about 1500 asl in the forest under Babina Dupka. The day was super sunny and warm with no wind. We needed exactly 4 hours to get to the top of Solunska Glava, it was covered with some clouds. At first glance I wondered where is the fence that used to be at the top but it was fully covered with the snow. So, we continued to ski towards mountain range that leads to Ostri (Sharp) Peak. It was 100% skitour, 50 m up ➡️ 100 m down , again 150 m up… we had all the way long our skins on our skis. By 2:15 pm we have reached Ostri Peak (2300 asl) and descended down to Patiska Reka (900 asl) before sunset where we met our friends from #IlovehikingMacedonia (they did hiking to Milenkov Kamen).
By the way northern hill of the mountain was fully covered with the snow exactly to Patiska Reka.
So, the summary is 25 km with 1500 m elevation gained in about 9 hours and 2 dogs that migrated from Papradiste to Patiska Reka following us all way long😎 Hope they are in good hands!
I’ve been told that most probably we were the first duo who did this trip in winter conditions ever. So, I am eager to know if that’s true🤷🏻♂️
