Invitation to the Telmark (R) Evolution skiing event

Dear new and old Telemark friends!
We are happy to welcome you at the first ever Telemark sport event in R. of Macedonia, which will take place in the skiing resorts Mavrovo and Popova Sapka, and National park Galicica.
What it is about?
Try Telemark for the first time!
Telemark skiing is the original and oldest form of skiing. The ski technique combines elements of Alpine and Nordic skiing. The free heel system of bindings makes a great sensation from every turn you make. Enjoyable for all color pistes and especially off piste skiing, when bending your knee and body takes you even deeper in the powder snow.
We would like to promote the sport culture of Telemark skiing. Our goal is to offer this extremely elegant skiing discipline available to everyone for a try-out session. The certified instructors from Italian organization Telemark Snow events will provide their expertise and gear for a free of charge venture. You can get theoretical knowledge and practical skills by joining our special event.
General information
Where it is happening?
Mavrovo is major ski resort and popular tourist destination in Macedonia. Its region lies within the border of the Mavrovo National Park, one hour drive from the capital Skopje. Popova Sapka is located in the northwest part of Macedonia. It is situated on the beautiful Sar Mountin, start point at 1780m, offering excellent skiing slopes as well variety of free ride routes.
The national park Galicica lies next to Ohrid lake, place with an exceptional natural beauty. It offers free ride skiing and trekking.
Coming to Macedonia:
The best way is by airplane, landing in Skopje or Thessaloniki, Greece, that is three hours drive to Skopje. Taxis with reasonable prices are available. We will have organized transport for the participants, from Skopje to Mavrovo skiing resort.
Accommodation:
All the accommodations will be in the lovely village of Mavrovo as well as in the centre of Ohrid city. Hotels or private houses can be arranged upon your request.
Everyone is invited, yet we particularly value the presence of ski and mountain lovers as well as media outlet professionals to help us spread the word about this awesome discipline.
