Marjan Bonev, one of the best mountain runners in Macedonia, will try to realize “Everesting” on June 1, from the early morning, ie climbing the height of Mount Everest 8848m on one of the mountain trails on Vodno. For this purpose, Bonev will have to realize 18 climbs to the summit of Vodno in continuity. The climbing will be along the Dimitar-Tsvetkova route, from Srednje Vodno to the top. To descend from the top, he will use a bicycle in the morning, and then use the gondola down for this part of the challenge. According to him, he expects and plans to make one climb in half an hour, biking 11-13 minutes, and driving down the gondola to take 8 minutes.
“The idea of the challenge is a test of ultra-psychic and physical endurance, a test of the science and experience so far in the field of managing nutrition, effort and mental focus during the second half of the bicycle descent,” said Bonev.
