Kopanki

 Ski resort Kopanki – Pelister situated in the southwestern part of Macedonia, within the National Park Pelister, on Baba Mountain whose highest peak is Pelister 2.601 m. It is a relatively small ski resort, but interesting because of its natural beauty. It has two renovated cable cars and attractive ski trails that are suitable for competitions in slalom and giant slalom. The winter season runs from December to late March.

The center starts at 1420 m and through the cable car and ski trail up to Kopanki mounting house at 1610 m and the second part of the trail up to 1800 m. The location of the center offers a beautiful view at most of the southern Macedonia. In the surrounding area of the center there are various accommodation facilities, restaurants, resorts and mountain lodges Kopanki 1550 and Mountain Lodge, Golemo ezero at 2200m.

Pelister Giant-slalom.

The center is within Pelister National Park, located in the southwestern part of the Republic of Macedonia and covers an area of ​​12,500 ha .Founded in 1948 as the first protected natural heritage in Macedonia. The mountain is characterized by a larger number of peaks and hills higher than 2,000 meters, separated by deep valleys. The highest peak is Pelister (2601 m).

From the many forms of relief at  Pelister the most remarkable one are  the so-called Stone rivers , slopes of relief filled with blocks of rocks with different composition . With their extraordinary natural attraction are the two glacial lakes, Pelisterski Ochi (Pelister eyes) – Big and Small Lake. Great resources of flora and fauna, indigenous species of pine tree with 5 needle cluster from tertiary period which grows only on few mountains in the Balkans at an altitude of 600 to over 2200 m.

Ski center Kopanki has renovated double seated chair lift and skilift:

Begova Cesma (Hotel Molika), length of the gadget is 680 meters, the starting station at 1420m and the endpoint is at an altitude 1610 m, with a capacity to transport 500 skiers per hour.

Kopanki , gadget length is 580 meters , the starting station at 1610 meters , the final station altitude of 1800 meters , with a capacity to transport 700 skiers per hour .

Two ski trails are a combination of red and black classification ,with an average slope of 35-38 % with an overall length of nearly 2.000 meters .For the time being the ski center  has an older model rat rack machine, Kässbohrer PistenBully 240D.

Separately within the children’s resort at 1200 m are three smaller ski lifts, two of which are for children. Near the place Nizopole , a ski resort ” Strezevo ” is settled, where are convenient two ski lifts with a carrying skiers up from 1300 to 1600 m asl. Nowadays the center is not functioning.
